The son of Ben Brush and Veva, by Mortemer, passed the last days of his very useful life at Lucas B. Combs appropriately named farm. Runners Rest. He was the property of Messrs. Gallaher Bros., Thomas Piatt and John D. Carr, these gen-I tlemen having purchased him at the dis-! persal sale of the Wickliffe Stud, held In January, 1918. he then being seventeen years old. Even at that advanced age he proved a splendid buy, having added many times his purchase price to the coffers of his owners. Like all the scions of Ben Brush. Delhi early proved his worth as a sire, having to his account year after year a goodly number of high-class winners. He sir.-d among others. Tripping dam of the Futurity winner Step UghttT, iAliore, Dominant. Idle Dell. Indian Trail and is represented by six Juveniles this year. Foaled in 1901. Delhi was the largest win-I ning son of Ben Brush, having earned during his racing days 15,640. and being credited with victories in the riopeful. Withers, Bel-moot. Great Republic, Brooklyn Handicap and other races.
