WINDSOR STAKES CLOSE FOR ENTRIES TODAY WINDSOR. Ont. May 25.— Secretary Walter O. Parmer is receiving entries at Windsor, Ont.. for the Windsor Jockey Club stakes to be decided at the first summer meeting at that track, July 18 to 25. Nominations close Tuesday. May 26. These fixtures embrace the Frontier Handicap, with 0,000 added : the Provincial Handicap, with J5.000 added, and the Canadian Handicap, with an added value also of ,000. The Frontier Handicap is at a mile and an eighth and is Windsors oldest stake, having been run since 1902, the subscription price being 0 each and 0 additional to start. The Provincial Handicap is for two-year-olds at five and one-half furlongs, with a subscription price of 0 each and 0 to start. The Canadian Handicap Is for Canadian foals at a mile and one-sixteenth, the subscription and starting fees being the same as provided in the Provincial Handicap. The rules of racing of the Canadian Racing Association govern these stake entries. Program for the second summer meeting at the Windsor Jockey Club. August 18 to 25, will be announced at the first meeting.
