L T.COOPERS BONNIE OMAR ♦ Scores Decisive Victory in Brooklyn Park Purse. * Leslie and Messlnes Prove Best In Fonrtn and Serenth Hares — Weather Very Inpropltlons. 1 CLEVELAND, O., May 25— Making his first start since last winter, L T. Coopers Bonnie Omar, showed a return to his best form when he scored a decisive victory in the Brooklyn Park Furse. fifth and feature race at Maple Heights this afternoon. Huon Pine and Gold Mount divided the remainder of the purse. Miss Jennie showed the way to the stretch head with Huon Pine and Eonnie Omar close up. When straightened out for the run home the son of Omar Khayyam — Bonnie Mary 1 raced into the lead with little effort and won well in hand. Huon Pine had no serious opposition for second as Miss Jennie quit I badly in the stretch. Following the rain of yesterday the track was muddy today and the riders took to the outside of the track in the stretch in search of the best footing. The weather was cold ; and threatening but a good crowd braved the adverse conditions to witness the sport. Sindora proved somewhat of a surprise I when she showed the way at all stage.* of the I initial contest. At the end she was doing her best, however, to stall off Helen T., which closed considerable ground from a slow b -ginning. Meridian Hill, a keen factor throughout, was a creditable third. Finding the going to his liking. Romping Home showed the way all the last half mile of the second. In the final struggle, Zorro outstayed Drummond for second place. Brass Band had the speed of the field throughout the running of the third race, and scored a handy victory over Runleg. which proved a real serious contender all the last half mile. Atta Boy II. came from far back in the stretch to beat the others home. Taking command after going half the distance. Leslie held his rival safe during the stretch run in the fourth race. Head Line closed up fast at the end and outstayed Tight, the favorite for the show honors. 1tah and Fair Break displayed the most speed to the stretch in the sixth rare. Little Clair, which raced in closest pursuit, then moved up and outgamed Fair Break for the major portion of the purse. Messincs accounted for the concluding race. leading by a comfortable margin the last half mile. Rajah acted badly at the post and was away far in the rear, but closed a gap to beat Bonfire for second place. Melbourne ran away six furlongs at top speed before the start of the fourth event and was pulled up after going the first quarter of the race. Eckert and Good claimed Tarrayce C. for ,500 out of the eighth race Saturday. Everett and St. irk have dissolved partnership and in future the horses Verbena. Asaph, Pentecosts Last. Plaid, Lady Finncll. T. H. Everitt and Labentum II. will race for the account of L C. Everitt. As a part of the agreement L. I Stark has taken over the contract of jockey K. Noe. . ♦
