MAPLE HEIGHTS NOTES CLEVELAND, Ohio, May 27. Trainer Olin Johnson departed last nipht for Thorncliffe Park, Toronto, with the Missouri Stable. Jockey L Aron accompanied the shipment. Millwick, winner of the Ohio State Derby, was today nominated by trainer Jim Patterson for the Chicago Derby, to be run at Hawthorne Park. B. A. Jones has shipped the Jones Stock Farm string to Omaha, to race at the Ak-Sar-P,en Park meeting. Geo. Palmer has been engaged to do starting at tho Dufferin Park and I ong Pranch tracks, at Toronto, also Devonshire and Ken-ilworth Iarks at Windsor. C. R Shafer, E. W. Moore, E. E. Major and C. II. Trotter, arc among those stables which will be shipped from here to Thorncliffe, Toronto. Kxtensivo improvements have been made at the Brooklyn Park here, since the initial meeting last fall. Five new stables of forty stalls each have been erected, the infield "ilil.cl, and two chutes built, om fir the starting of seven furlong races and the other out of which the five and one-half and six furlong events will start. Applications for stabling of 4o0 horses have been received and tho overflow will tie taken care of at the Dim half-mile track. TUa meeting opens yjn Monday next. For rough riding this afternoon, Jockey C. Phillips was set down fur the remainder of the meeting by the stewards.
