HAWTHORNE STAKES CLOSING The Chicago Business Mens Racing Association reports a generous response to the entries for the rich stakes to be run at Hawthorne during the fifty-eight days of the summer meeting which opens on July 2 and closes September 7. Entries for these features close on June 6 and horsemen, who contemplate racing here during the summer, should send in their in mutations immediately. The stakes that close Saturday, June 6, include the Chicago Derby. Chicago Special, each with 0,000 added : the Independence and Labor Day handicaps, each with ,500 added, together with the Inaugural. Blaikstone Hotel. Drake Hotel. Yellow Cab. Hofherr Meat Co.. Morrison Hotel, Edg°water Beach Hotel handicaps and Juvenile Stakes, each with ,500 added.
