Wen driving; second and third the same. EVENTIDE raced past the leaders when entering the stretch and, taking the lead, held the race safe to the end. GLOKY worked her way up on the outside in the stretch and finished fast. ATONEMENT set the early pace and saved ground where possible, but tired in the strtch. JAUNEBAR was closing up fast next to the inner rail when approac h.n:; the stretch turn, where he was sharply crowded back and had to be pulled up, which ruined h.s chance. POLYO. fairly close up from the start, worked his way up next to the inner rail in the stretch ami. taking a imall lead, held it gamely in the final drive. HIGH WATER, off badly, closed a tremendous gap and. working his way up on the outside through the stretch, was going fastest of all at the end. PEGASlS raced up in he lead midway of the stretch nnd humped WINNIPEG, knocking the latter off liis stride at the eighth post and outgamed him in the filial drive. WINNIPEG ran a credtable race, but aptieared to be beaten when meeting the interference. HONFLEtR acted badly at th je st and showed early sliced, but quit badly. BONNIE OMAR was practically left at the post and was taken up in the itrctch. MIKE MORRISSEY closed up considerable ground and outstayed INCLE YEI.O in the final drive. The latter moved up when approaching the stretch, but tired in the stretch.
