VALUE OF SKULL CAP L.ATONIA, Ky., June 8.— Jockey G. Noel had a miraculous escape from injury* when he fell in the third race. IBs mount. Midnight Rose, was in the middle of the field when he was brushed off and it appeared as if he had been struck by several of the rear guard. Be lay prostrate for a considerable time until lifted from the track by several who had rushed to his aid. Be regained his faculties soon after. An examination of his skull cap showed three dents where horses had struck him as he was prostrate on the ground. The efficiency of the Mtull caps was clearly demonstrated here and his wearing one probably saved him a fractured skull. A
