—* a BELMONT TURF NOTES At private terms J. A. Coburn purchased from the Sanford Stud Farm the four-year-old Samaritan. Harry Payne Whitneys Klondye is rapidly rounding to at Jamaica and is taking kindly to training. Jockey George Cooper is recovering rapidly from the accident he suffered at Jamaica. The boys arm is out of the sling and he will be seen in the saddle during the Empire City meeting. M. Shapoff, trainer for G. F. Croissant, arrived from Louisville today and reports that Kentucky Cardinal will be shipped here for the Belmont Stakes. Gibbons, The Runt and Escapader will also be included in the shipment and jockey W. Smith will do the stable riding. — a.
