Harkness ami the horse ran in Rices interests in the first race today. Jockey C. Corbett will leave for Akron, Ohio, at the end of this week. The books for the coming meting at Race-land arrived and were distributed by Charlie Houbre. Liberal purses are to he given with a ,000 handicap daily. A notice has been posted in the secretarys office warning the horsemen that failure to rport their riders before 9 a. m. will result in a 0 fine. Charlie Grand, former rider and trainer, who was reported dead last winter, was at the course and appeared very much alive. C S. Richards, partner in the stable of Richards and Trinz. has sold hH interest to Mr. Trinz and will leave for New York in a few days. ♦
