RACING AT ROYAL ASCOT . Epsom Derby Winner Manna Beaten in Ascot Derby. • Lord Astors Saury Sue Adds Coronation up to List of Victories — Royal Hunt up to Cockpit. 1 SPECIAL CABLEGRAM LONDON. June 17. — II. E. Morriss Manna, winner of the Epsom Derby, was beaten by Sir John Rutherford*! Solario and Sparus in the Ascot Derby. Manna carried 130 lounds. the top weight, and was conceding , ten pounds to the others. Solario beat Sparus by a length and a half and the ; latter, in turn, was half a length in front of j Manna. The weather was cloudy and cool for the second day of the Royal Ascot meeting but an enormous crowd turned out in spite of this condition. Lord Astors Saucy Sue. winner of both the Epsem Oaks and One Thousand Uuineas. eastry aeeouated for the Coronation Cup hy ten lengths. I.
