Dick Welles Selections At Bowie since wh when _. lot Its *h what out out. she at rt £ place. her _ hei here PANDORA— PYREX— BAM; EROIS KITTY. PANDORA, a tirst time starter from the barn of II. P. Whitney, is given the call in | this race. She is said to have shown plenty in private, and Hopkins, who trains her, is | very sweet on her. Another Whitney starter is the one who is expected to get the place money. This one is PYREX, a daughter of Whisk Droom II. She did not fare so well I in her race the other day but is looked for to do better here. DAXCKROlS KITTY has had many good things said of her and I may be the one to get the show. ESPANOL— JOHNNY CAMPBELL— W HITE I MARSH. ESPANOL raced with fair success down in Florida and he has been burning up the track here in his morning trials. If he runs to them, should be the winner. JOHNNY - CAMPBXUi found the distance a little too long for him the other day but should be better suited here. WHITE MARSH, a Canadian performer, and which raced well there, should be able to get some part of the purse. ADIEl — HAZE-Mill BLAZES. ADIEU has had one race at this meeting • making the long journey from Tijuana, • she was beaten by a nose by Welshot. quite evident that the long trek took a 1 out of her. hut that last race was just 1 she needed for a winning effort her next Against the company she meets here J looks like a cinch. HAZE has done well this course and is the one looked for to GREEN BLAZES ran an even race last out and may do as well here. STX RAJAH— MI SKALLOM.E— EYELASH. SUN RAJAH won his last race by six c lengths easing up. and as the competition i is not any better than that he met last t | | I I I - • • 1 1 J c i t out. should again be returned an easy winner. MFSKALLONCE is a hard horse to manage and if the proper rider can be found to pilot him he may give the winner some trouble. EYELASH showed sudden improvement in his last race and if he does as well today should get some part of the money. HI TTKRI IP— HILLY MANX— HARRY CARROLL. BUTTERCUP gave a good account of her- self in her last start when she earned a nose decision over Hobson. This will b;» her first try at this distance, and it is proble- matical whether or not she can negotiate it successfully. Should she be able to carry her speed the mile and seventy yards, looks like the winner. HILLY MANN has been going well here and should be the runner- up. HARRY CARROLL has been a while finding his racing legs, but may be expected to do better here. DERNIER SOU— IIIDALUO— INYICTLS. DERNIER SOU ran a good second to Gunny Sa» k last Thursday when he mad" up much ground from a slow beginning. He is right on edge at the present, and should be ready to step down in front. HIDALGO has had a lot of racing of late, and maybe has had too much. If he has retained any form at all is the one expected to get the place. INVICTUS found the heavy track too much of a handicap his last race and fin-1 ished third after leading to the stretch. With possibilities of a better track, should prove ;: dangerous contender. MOON ■ ;IC— SANDPILE— FORNOYO. MOON MACK" did not race to his best in his last out and can do better. If he were to run one of his good New Orleans races, could be the winner. SANDPIEE has been improving la his recent races and looks good for the place money. EORNOVO has a , good chance to be third.
