The latter was close up from the stait and took a brief lead in the stretch. I GENERAL SETH moved up into second place after rounding the stretch turn, then tired. GAI.lSHA. high in flesh, showed the most early speed, but tired. REQUEST began slowly. KITEN ciosed a gap with a belated rush through the final eighth and outgamed MIRIAM WOOD. The latter set a good pace, but was much used in * racing MARY ;. into defeat and tired in the stretch. SLOW TIME passed FLOY LILLIE while rounding the stretch turn and, taking the lead, finished gamely, but tiring. TORCHER was forced to race wide when entering the stretch, but outgamed FUY LILLIE in the final drive. FLOY LILLIE set a good pace to the stretch before tiring.
