E R BRADLEYS BUSY DAY Arrives at Churchill Downs at 5 30 A M Derby Day Gives GivesBubbling Bubbling Over Appetizer LOUISVILLE Ky May 17 Col Edward R Bradley master of the Idle Hour Stock Farm at Lexington Ky left the race course at Churchill Downs Louisville immediately upon the conclusion of the Kentucky Derbys fiftysecond renewal having put in a reason ¬ ably busy afternoon between the paddock his box at the grandstand and toward the last in the judges stand where he had to attend to such matters as receiving a gold cup with the mayor of New York City doing the official presentation Colonel Bradley had begun the day by appearing at the track at 530 a m taking breakfast with his trainers and jockeys and watching the work ¬ outs of his horses timing quite a few of them himself Then with his own hands he gave Bubbling Over an appetizer of a dish of strawberries and cream and a cup of sweet ¬ ened coffee coffeeIt It was not until after the race that Colonel Bradley beset by movie men and newspaper photographers for whom airplanes were waiting showed his first traces of ner ¬ vousness as he made his way to the club ¬ house gate where his car was waiting to drive him at once to Idle Hour Farm FarmI I said before the race that the horse that wins this Derby would be a super horse and Im not going to change my opinion now Bubbling Over is a super horse and just incidentally hes the only horse in the field that could beat Bagenbaggage Bubbling Over has certainly justified all my confi ¬ dence in him and has also justified his name It was Bubbling Over that won the cham ¬ pion stakes and now I am the one thats bubbling over with joy joyI I might add that this also proves my contention that New Orleans winter racing is one of the greatest training grounds in this country for Bagenbaggage was trained there and he demonstrated the splendid con ¬ dition he is in by beating every other horse in the field but Bubbling Over
