FORMER RIDER A SUICIDE NEW YORK N Y May 17 Genuine re ¬ gret was expressed at Jamaica when word was received that Ollie Martin a former wellknown rider killed himself in his apart ¬ ment in New York Sunday morninjj Martin was despondent over the loss of his wife a few years back and it is presumed that his mind became unbalanced which led to his act His sister lives in St Louis and funeral ar ¬ rangements will be announced from Camp ¬ bells undertaking parlors Broadway and Sixtysixth street Tuesday Martin was forty eight years old and hailed from SL Louis His family name was Oliver M Audrich but he rode under the namo of Martin For the past ten years he was employed as a com ¬ missioner and bookmakers clerk and vaa wen known to racing men throughout the country
