Dick Welles Selections SelectionsAt At Churchill Downs JtRUXS WICK DRY IOOX 1IHA IHK YS TOXEY TOXEYWe We are expecting BRUNSWICK to take the measure of DRY MOON in tho opening race a daslt of threequarters The former did not show so well in his first start here this spring but we have received some infor ¬ mation to the effect that he is now ready for come what may When in a running mood this son of Frizzle is a hard one to beat and we thing he will turn thn trick today The one to be feared is DRY MOON from tho Croissant barn He seems to be in top form at present and if he were to race as he did in his last start will make the winner step a few In that race he gained a head verdict over Broomster and J G Denny BRADLEYS TONEY in his last out raced in a manner to suggest that he is fit If so he will take a bad beating before giving up the struggle If PAYMAN were to race as has been his custom in his last three races he may be able to share in the purse money moneyFJORAXADA FJORAXADA KRITK HOURBOX GIRL GIRLThe The second number calls for maiden juve ¬ niles to race over the four and a half fur ¬ longs distance and here we are picking FLORAXADA to take down the winners portion of the purse She ran a couple of good races in her only appearances here If she were to show any improvement at all think she could cop today KRICK IB another one that has been bangup in her most recent races and stands a good chance of turning the trick Her third in the Debu tanto Stakes last Friday was a neat piece of work and worthy of mention BOURBON GIRL finished nowhere in the same race but she can do much better In her race before last she led to the stretch only to give way and then stuck it out long enough to land in fourth place placeWATERFLAG WATERFLAG PRETTY POLITICIAX XTUA XTUAWe We recieved some choice info on the filly WATERFLAG and if it is correct she may prove the winner Her most recent races do not bespeak of anything but they have to be passed It is said she is now ready to run the race of her life If she does she can trim this bunch PRETTY POLITICIAN was a good racer in her threeyearold year and her last race appeared like she was again back in that form If that last race was no fluke look for her to be well up today XTRA failed miserably in her last out after showing promise in her two proceeding races She can do better and think she will be able to take down the show money here MRS MOORE may be able to get in the picture also is she were to repeat her last effort effortTWO TWO SIXTY LUCKY MISTAKE MAHAT3IA MAHAT3IAAn An exceptionally good play is spotted in the fourth race in TWO SIXTY This son of Theo Cook has been most consistent finish ¬ ing close up to some of the good ones Since his last race he turned in a fine workout and a race back to that move should find him the easiest winner of the day LUCKY MIS ¬ TAKE showed a decided improvement in his last nice and the same effort today should find him the nearest to the winner at the finish He is in light and that too should be to his advantage The Havana racer MAHATMA ran one of his good races his last out and if he has returned to the form he showed at the Cuban course will be among the money earners He seems to be partial to muddy going but his last race over a fsist strip was also good goodMARCOXI MARCOXI SUPKRFRAXK HOOT TO TOBOOT BOOT The feature race on the program the Mapleton Purse brings out a small but select band of racers to contest over the mile and a sixteenth distance Under the con ¬ ditions of the race MARCONI the Law ¬ rence Realization winner of 125 is to shoul ¬ der top weight of 119 pounds This is no burden for the son of Omar Khayyam when in a running mood and we are looking for him to prove l est here His last race was a poor one but some excuses can be found in the fact that he was away none to well and then had scant chance afterwards SUPER FRAXKS last race was a good one when he finished second If he would run as kindly today he should account for the place money BOOT TO BOOT should be well able to save the show money moneyDARK DARK PlIAXTOM PARCO TEAK TEAKThe The speedy DARK PHAXTOM which races for J X Camden looks much the best of those entered in the Elizabethtown Purse to be run as the sixth Her last two races were both wins and we cant see anything in this race that should stop her from run ¬ ning her score to three PARCO figures to finish in second place but dont think she will at any stage of the race bother DARK PHANTOM to any extent She was decij sively beaten by the latter in her last out and dont look for a reversal today TEAK is in good form at the present and looks well able to take down the show end of the purse PRINCESS PAN came back to the races this year by running a good second to Botanic If she were to go as well today she may cause the others some trouble troubleFLAMES FLAMES PHIDIAS LADY IXE IXEThe The final race of the day promises a tight fit between FLAMES PHIDIAS and LADY INEZ The former rates a little higher than the other two and therefore gets the call His last race found him chasing Pat Cal houn home but beaten many lengths for the first money PHIDIAS also turned in a good performance in his last out to finish third to Sun Hatlior and Eager It was the first time to the races this year for thej gelded son of Zeus and was a fine showing He has been turning in some good moves too and he may be expected to be well up1 today LADY INEZ would prove a danger ¬ ous opponent if she were to race back to her Tijuana form While she races well over a fast track she is more or less partial to muddy going PRODIGAL rates well up and may be able to get a portion of the prize money i One Best Bet TWO SIXTY in Fourth Race
