W GARNERS CIRCUS RIDING IuVTONIA Ky June 12 One of the most remarkable recoveries of a falling horse and rider marked the opening race today The horse Broad Axe ridden by Willie Garner lost his footing in the heavy going after being bumped by Lady Inez at Uie sixteenth post postHis His struggle to regain his footing and the assisting effort of his rider that ensued were undeniable but it was only after fully twenty seconds of slipping sprawling and effort that the horse succeeded Garner was wrapped about the horses neck as a result of his stumbling but he slowly worked his way back and his last raising of the horses head did most in aiding him in avoid ¬ ing going down
