BRAINSTORM IS DESTROYED NEW YORK. N. Y., April 5— The Mira-sol Stable, numbering ten head, in charge of Joe Edwards, arrived during the past week from Miami. Edwards reports he was obliged to destroy the former good stake performer Brainstorm, owing to an extremely bad leg which has kept the veteran campaigner on the shelf for some little time. Edwards also reported the sale of two two-year-olds belonging to the Waterson string, to James Wagner. The pair, Lucky Hour and Slow Poke, which have never faced the barrier, will be trained as hunters by Mr. Wagner, it was stated. Contest, a three-year-old in the stable of Charles Caffarelli, is reported to have a running fever of 105.
