Johnson Leading Rider. » The Jefferson Parish Fair Association meeting of twenty-eight days, which began March 2 and ended April 2, wm featured by the running of the 515.000 Louisiana Derby and the distribution of 16,540 among the horsemen. There were 196 races decided and the daily average distribution amounted to ,733. The Idle Hour Stable of Col. E. R. Bradley had things much its own way, winning ten races, including the Derby, and 1,825. Boo. as a result of carrying off the rich Louisiana Derby, easily led the money-winning horses. G. Johnson was the outstanding star anion? the jockeys with twenty Victories out of seventy-two mounts for the excellent percentage of .28.
