GIFT OF RACING RECORDS S S Gilmartin Presented With WithOld Old Files of Spirit of the Times TimesFrom From Year 1876 to 1901 COLLINSVILLE 111 May IS S S Gil martin superintendent of the certificates re ¬ fund system at Fairmount Park and one of the best informed students of the racing game in America was presented recently with the complete files of the Spirit of the Times for the years of 1876 to and including 1901 The twentyfive complete volumes were given Mr Gilmartin by Joseph Martin of St Loui the executor of the estate of the late Louis Cella These coinprised a part of the extensive library which Mr Cella assembled during the many years he was actively iden ¬ tified with the racing game Mr Gilma tin prizes this gift most highly and it will prove a valuable addition to the racing records he has collected during his long and active career in which he has had responsible con ¬ nections wjtlj the leading race tracks in the United States Canada and Cuba
