At Aurora One Best Bet CLIQUE in the Fourth Eace The rains of Tuesday night and Wednes ¬ day had their telling effect on the going at Aurora and as a consequence the racing strip is quite slow with little chance for it improving for several more days The change in track conditions did not seem to matter much to the trainers however they naming their charges quite liberally andv with but few exceptions limit fields will no doubt go to the post postJW4th JW4th the exception of the fifth race named the Yorkville Purse an allowance affair over the threequarters distance each of the events are for platers with the claiming clause at ¬ tached to each number The Torkville Purse brings out the best field of the day with such good ones as Sureshot Glenister II Montello and Flag of Truce among those named namedA A large field of twoyearolds is expected to face the barrier in the third tilt over the longer distance of fiveeighths of a mile Three of the races are over the more popular distances of a mile and seventy yards or a mile and a sixteenth and generally speak ¬ ing it is a good card that is offered con ¬ sidering the condition of the track trackDATE DATE HURlf SHEFFIELD WINNIE STUART STUARTThe The first race is framed for threeyear old maidens to contest over the five and a half furlongs distance and they are a cheap band of platers DAVE HURN raced en ccuragingly his lasftime out and may stick it out long enough today to take down the major portion of the purse SHEFFIELD has been racing in much better company and may show to better advantage in this field WINNIE STUART gets the call for the short end of the purse on her showing in her race before her last time out MOSE SHAPOFF appears to be the best of the others othersHIGH HIGH JOY MABEL SETH WAPONOCA WAPONOCAThe The second offering at threequarters should see POMEGRANATE getting home in front He turned in a mighty good work ¬ out the other morning and would only have to show the same brand of speed here to cop MABEL SETH is liable to prove a real danger for she likes the going and showed in her last start that she is not far from her best form Throwing out the last race run by WAPONOCA which was far below his best form he would stand a fair chance of earning some part of the purse RE ¬ VOLT is apt to find her best speed here and if so will make it interesting for the others othersMINTWIKI MINTWIKI MADAM EMELIE DOC The W S Kilmer racer MINTWIKI is plainly the class in the twoyearold event and would only have to repeat his initial performance when he was home such a handy winner to add this purse to his credit MADAM EMELIE is more or less consistent and usually lands among the first three though she has been unable to win a race as yet She looks good for the place in this number DOC raced against the good ones at New Orleans and would only have to show his best winter form to take down some portion of the purse today INDRA is good in the going but may be a little outclassed in this company companyCLIQUE CLIQUE OPEN FIRE STOXEAGE STOXEAGEWhat What appears to be the best play on the card js CLIQUE in the fourth race He has one winning race to his credit early in the meeting though his recent races have been only fair He turned in a fast trial the other morning and taking a line through that workout is ready for another winning effort and should be able to beat this field with ease OPEN FIRE will be making his first start of the meeting today and a race back to recent trials should see him closest to the winner at the end STONEAGE is well able to hold the others safe for third money JOE JUNIOR is outclassed outclassedGLENISTER GLENISTER II MONTELLO SURESHOT Even though carrying top weight in the Yorkville Purse GLENISTER II figures to defeat his company without much difficulty He will have no Jack Alexander to beat today and the going is made to order for him MONTELLO can do much better than his last start indicated and should be able to earn the place money at least in this field SURESHOTS usual good effort should see him taking down the short end of the purse ROSETTA STONE prefers a fast track FLAG OF TRUCE holds an outside chance chanceWHO WHO KNOWS ME KENDALL MAKE UP UPWHO WHO KNOWS ME is well suited to the track and distance in the sixth and should find this a favorable spot to score He is meeting cheaper company today and it should not be much of a trick for him to win in this field KENDALL raced in much improved form last time out and would only have to repeat that last race to earn the place money today MAKE UP would do for the show end of the purse if he started He is last on the also eligible list and may not get the chance to race FORELAND is liable to prove a repeater BOSH is on the improve improveMARVELITE MARVELITE LOYE CHILD SCOTLAND FOREVER FOREVERMARVELITE MARVELITE LOVE CHILD and SCOT ¬ LAND FOREVER is the way they shape up for the final event over the mile and seventy yards distance The former raced far below his best form in his last start and that race should be thrown out of the calculations in figuring the probable winner LOVE CHILD would need to improve but a little over his last race to get the place money today SCOTLAND FOREVER only has to display his best Tijuana form to get some part of the purse He may prove a real danger MART BUNCH should not be ignored HUEY raced well in his last time out
