| SPOOKY CAPTURES FUTURITY Daughter of Pillory — Miss Fannie Gallops to Easy Victory at Tijuana — Luther Stars. TIJUANA. Mexico, April , 2.— The ninth running of the Tijuana Futurity was the final attraction of the Tijuana meeting of one hundred and fifteen days ending Sunday. W. A. Porters Spooky, a daughter of Pillory — Miss Fannie, ridden by T. Luther, was an easy winner by four lengths from the La Brae Stables Listo, and the Northway Stables Lady Va Va. Through her victory the coffers of her owner were enriched to the extent of 0,450, while Listo won ,250 by finishing second. The race" was only a romp for Spooky, making her second start and winning her second victory. She began fastest of all. and led from start to finish, having a five lengths lead on the stretch turn but, being taken under restraint, she allowed Listo to cut down this big margin. Listo was always in closest pursuit of the winner, but was never able to threaten her. Jockey Tommy Luther, who has been absent from the saddle for a week through illness, resumed riding today and his horsemanship was the feature of the days racing. He piloted three of the first six winners and displayed the same smoothness which has marked his riding all winter. He was given a great ovation when he returned to the judges stand after winning the Futurity on Spooky. Lather is one of the best, if not the best rider ever developed at Tijuana and horsemen are predicting a great future for him, He is under contract to Stuart Polk, who has had several handsome offers for his services.
