ACTIVITY AT AURORA ♦ Number of Improvements Being Rushed to Completion. *. Several Hundred Horses Already at Exposition Park with Tijuana Special Due Shortly. *. AURORA. 111., April 4.— With the opening of the Illinois racing season less than a month away, there is much activity at Exposition Park these days. Quite a number of improvements are being made, the center field has been leveled off and is being sowed with grass seed, a new barn containing sixty stalls is under construction, and minor changes and other improvements are being rushed to completion. Since the close of the winter tracks horses have been arriving here daily. Consignments from Havana and New Orleans were the first to get in, while the Tijuana Special is due shortly. Among the horses arriving from New Orleans are those of the Jones Stock Farm, which include such as Senator Seth, Nose Dive, Dolly Seth. Prince Tii Tii, Elizabeth Seth, Whip Cracker, Seths Ballot, Animal Crackers. Corporal Seth, Doll Dance, Gabby Girl. Suzie Seth. Eight Sixty, New Beauty and Saddle Horse. The Chicago-owned Dearborn Stable has nine horses here, including Chaff, Sturdy Stella. Eglantine, French Lane, Frank Keahe, Scoop. Cartoon. Needle Point and Monarchist. MAJOR HORSES ARRIVE. E. E. Major brought here from New Orleans a band of nine, of which Bill Seth, Take a Chance and Street Eiz were winners. Besides these two, Torcher, Sheriff Seth, Volsel, Juniors Nurse and Go Foin are in this stable. T. F. Borman was another to ship here from the Crescent City, bringing the horses he is training for Miss M. Kelly, which are as follows: Orestes II., Determan, Harry M. Phelps. Kllnt II., Basket Picnic, Try Again, Col. Kelley and Gordon. E. Legcre. who was going to France to ride for Gene Eeigh but decided to remain in this country, wrs an arrival. He has signed to ride for T. F. Bornman at the coming Aurora meeting. Anotnor pretentions stable that raced at New Orleans an 1 will take part in the local meeting is that of W. M. Cain, which includes Aviator, Arragosa, Rosemary Eaycock. Cup o Tea. Gay Hallie. Loyal H., Firth of Forth, Lila G. and Louisville ar.d Nashville. Among the owners that came here from Havana wen the venerable centenarian Tom Cheek, G. W. Atkinson. M. Katz, B. E. Lamport, J. C. McAuliff. D. McDermid. Mrs. A. R. Smith. H. Torriente. W. J. Waterman and I*. Young.
