LEXINGTON TURF N0TES~| s $ LEXINGTON, Ky., April 4. T. P. Hayes has taken a contract on George C. Reeves, a local lad, and has made application for apprentice license. Th- boy had a two-year contract ■wit.i Robert C. Krake.«, expiring next fall. Frakes transferred this contract to Hayes and a new-contract for three years was written. The boy weighs eighty-five pounds. A. K. Miller reports arrival at Cannland Farm of a chestnut colt foal by Whiskaway — Glory of the Seas II. The latter will be bred to Sweep On. L. K. Rogers has the three-year-olds Juel Jean and Fast Ann, owned by Luther Stivers, going along well at the local track. They are both daughters of Boniface. Al Smitha, local turfman, who raced a small stable with success during the recent Oriental Park meeting, is here with the horses Nani-Hawaii, Fatsy H., Sue Barker, There and Athens, a two-year-old bla k filly by Omar Khayyam— Susie. The stable that George Land brought here from New Orleans for C. II. Knebelkamp of Louisville, embraces ten horses, of which three are two-year-olds. The older racers are Bun, Worthy, Georgia Rose, Jerry B., Helen E., St. Matthews and Edith May. Evelyn L. and Miss Dona are two-year-olds which raced during the winter, and Little Leo, a bay son of Battle On — Miss Leo, is the other juvenile.
