KILMERS MARYLAND STABLE New York Breeder Has Nineteen Promising Juveniles — Horses at Havre de Grace. HAVRE DE GRACE. Mr.. April 4.— Nineteen two- and three-year-olds belonging to Willis Sharpe Kilmer constitute the largest stable that has come here thus far for racing of the Harford Agricultural and Breeders Association that will begin on April 16. Jockey "Scotty" Craigmyle, who rode at Havana through the winter, accompanied the band from Columbia, -S. C. William C. Carroll, who developed Morvich and Runstar for the late Adolph Spreckels. of California, and won the Coffroth Handicap of 1924 with Runstar. is in charge. George Phillips took the Kilmer horses to Columbia, but was released two months ago. Carroll, a veteran of wide experience, had a band of Kilmers two-year-olds at Tijuana a year ago and won a Tijuana Futurity with Sun Meddler. High Wind, Paraffiance and Pennsylvania excepted, the Kilmer horses are all homebred, products of his new Court Manor Stud of the Valley of Virginia. They had a lot of work of the preparatory sort over a half-mile course at Columbia and came here ready for the serious business of training. Carroll expects to have most of them ready for the Harford Associations races. Spear Rock, Sun Roman and Sun Beau are condidates for the Preakness. Pimlicos 5,000 spring special for three-year-olds. Sun Beau. Sun Roman and Sun Friar are in the Kentucky Derby, which will be another 5.0i 0 special. Sun Beau has not been taking to his morning trials readily, says trainer Carroll, and he may send the colt to the farm until fall. Sun Friar is the farthest ad/ancci of any of the band. Jockey Craigmyle will be first-string rider for the Kilmer Stable. He will perform at Bowie, although none of the K lmer hors?s will be ready for that meeting. Pennsylvania. High Wind and Paraffiance. which were bought at last years Saratoga sales, will have brief racing careers and then be sent to Sun Briars court.
