RAPID TRANSIT raced in close pursuit of the early leaders to the stretch, then passed RECOGNITION and drew away through the final eighth. RHAPSODY ANN, close up from the start, took a small lead and tired, but finished gamely. GLACIAL ran well and was forced to race on the outside throughout. SPORT began fast, but was outpaced by the leaders. RECOGNITION showed the most speed for three -eighths. LKW BLACK, EDITH BEAN, CHESTER, BLANDRIS and WHO DAT raced greenly after beginning slowly. ROCK THORN was close up. but in close quarters on the inside of BLAZE and was eased back, then came fast when clear into the lead, hut had to be ridden vigorously to out finish COMMISSIONER CAHILL. The latter worked his way up fast on the outside and would have won in a few more strides. CASTING began slowly, but finished resolutely. FRANCES ROCK ran a good race. THE COCOON raced well. SAGKROYS began very slowly, but finished with a belated rush and was in close quarters at the end. JACQUEMINOT showed early speed. LEYLAND was knocked back early and was forced to race very wide when he recovered. STATIC tired.
