April 21— Bob Smith tried the English colt Strolling Player out in the heavy going at Havre de Grace this morning and the way the colt tore down the home stretch stamped him as a rare mud runner. Fields was on Strolling Player and after dismounting he pronounced the eolt the fastest horse he ever rode. . •
