CHESTER raced in closest pursuit to the stretch, then swerved to the inside and struck the fence, but recovered gamely and outfinished FATIGIE. The latter moved -up fast while rounding the turn into the stretch, but tired badly SIN BROOM could never reach Hip leaders. EO KAPHINE began slovily and ran poorly. BATTLE AX begau in a tangle.
