Won driving: second and third the same. ;LEE CLUB began somewhat slowly, but worked his way up steadily on the inside, then came to the outside in the stretch and headed AGITATE in the final drive. The latter followed PRINCE BOZO I closely to the stretch, then passed the latter in the final eighth and raced well to the end. PRINCE BOZO showed the most early speed, saved ground where possible and had no mishaps. ORIGINAL began In a tangle and tired after closing a gap. GILDED YOUTH ran fairly well. DORRIE was always outrun. WANDERING STAR quit after being forced out when entering the stretch. PARTNERSHIP and SILVER JAY began flat footed. Scratched— 23.VW Djinn, 117. Won easily; second and third driving. FALSE PRIDE was rushed into the lead at the start and, setting a fast pace, drew far away and 1 won in a canter. TESTER raced in closest pursuit of the winner throughout, but was doing his best at t the end to withstand the rush of CLEARANCE. The latter gained steadily and closed a big gap. SUN I FORWARD was always outrun. HAT BRUSH soon raced into the lead and, keeping it, held SUPERSEDE safe in the final drive. The latter was hard ridden from the start and finished well. CONDE saved ground when entering the stretch and finished fast. GENIAL came through on the inside when entering the stretch and closed gap. HESPER began slowly. SALLYS HOUR was always outrun. MUHSADO iuit badly and so did ALWAYS. The saddle on AIOLET B. slipped after the start and unseated her rider. WASHAKIE forced the pac; from the start and passed WEB BURN after rounding the stretch turn, but could not withstand the rush of the winner. DANGEROUS raced well all the way. KING BIRD closed a gap on the outside and finished fast. EQUATION was much used in chasing the winner and tired. CHAUNCEY was not persevered with at the end. AIR CHIEF began in a tangle.
