I I I 1 , I [ | j . j I v I • f LEXINGTON TURF NOTES | •» LEXINGTON, Ky., April 27. The filly Truitelle, recently acquired by E. E. Mooar, will come West from Maryland with the horses of J. McGee and join the Mooar stable at Churchill Downs. Jockey Earl Pool, due to engagements, was forced to decline an offer to ride the Kenton Farms good three-year-old Typhoon in a stake race at Havre de Grace next Monday. A. Baker, Pools contract employer, has the R. S. Clark stable in full swing and could not see his way clear to part with Pool for two days. J. Morgan Chinn, owner of the filly Spooky, came over from his home at Louisville to remain for several days. He reports that trainer Jack Weaver is well satisfied with the manner in which the fleet daughter of Pillory is training at Churchill Downs. L. Burg, F. P. AVilson, L. A. Connors and A. Kalehar quit Louisville for the day and braved the cold weather to witness the after-- noons racing here. Bobby Bowers, agent for the AAestern division of the H. P. AVhitney stable, came in from New York to remain for a few days. Harry Lunsford, who is assisting in the training of the horses of J. W. Parrish, was a Aisitor during the afternoon. He returned to Louisville this evening. Jockey Walter Anderson suffered a bruised right hand as a result of getting the member caught in an automobile door and had to cancel several riding engagements. Tom Doyle, presumably acting for the Joliet Stable, purchased, at private terms fiom H. P. Headley, the two-year-old Celerity, after the youngster had finished second in the fourth race. J. S. Ward, acting for the Everglade Stable, in which he has a half interest, today purchased from AV. R. Seamster the contract that the latter had on the jockey AV. Lau- scher. The agreement is good, for almost two years and Lauscher has entered the employ of his contract holders. He rode the stables Dodgson to victory this afternoon.
