AIRADO set a 1 fast pace, saved ground where possible and finished resolutely. BLANDRIS was cut off when he at- n tempted to come through on the inside in the stretch and had to be taken up. SWEEPESTA raced in near st pursuit of ARCADE and passed the latter ■ at the far turn, but tired in a hard final drive. CLUB closed a gap in the early runniiig and finished I with a rush. CHARLEMAGNE, n lumbering colt, was never able to threaten the leaders. ARCADE : set a good earlv pace and quit badly.
