SMOLDERING raced wide on the turns and tired after reaching the stretch. CABIN raced in closest early pursuit and was done after going five-eighths. SANDY LADY was always outrun. DOWAGIAC raced prominently from the start and, saving ground on the stretch turn, enabled him to outfinish AFTERGLOW. The latter raced fairly well. COLONEL SHAW was always outrun and. bring forced to race wide, began tiring in the stretch. CANAAN raced well for three-quarters and tired badly. LITTLE COLONEL was hard ridden into the lead in the first quarter, then set a good pace and drew away on the last turn, but had to be hard ridden to outfinish HO.MKWOOI. The latter improved his position gradually and made a fast and game finish. HONEST raced close up all the way and finished fast, but barely ontfmished TOANNA. The latter moved up rapidly after entering the stretch and finished gamely. PROCNE had no mishaps. JACK RABBIT tired badly in the stretch.
