KATRINA L. raced as if she far outclassed the others, raced into a long lend and won in a canter. JESSIE CARET passed GLORIA HARE while going the first quarter and easily held the others safe for second place. OCEANID raced on the inside and, closing a gap in the stretch, outfinished VIRGINIA FI.YNN. The latter moved up gamely in the stretch, but tired. ROSETTE was badly outrun. DAR-FUR was eutoaccd to the stretch, but, under strong riding, quickly closed a gap and, finishing between MASTER SWEEP and SOUTHERN KISS, took a brief lead and held MARGIE K. safe. The latter also came fast in the stretch on the inside, reached the leaders near the «nd and easily outlasted MASTER S EEP. MASTER SWEEP raced on the outside, keeping close up all the way, and held on well. TIIE ABBOTT closed with a rush and was wearing the leaders down. MKMORIA raced on the outside, showed good speed and finished gamely. ETHEL GALLIGES showed the most early speed befure tiring.
