TUBEROSE, well ridden, raced in closest pursuit under light restraint, responded well when called on and, after passing ANNA BEAL, drew away rapidly. BEN MACIIREE dropped a goodly distance back of the leaders in the first quarter, then saved ground when working her way up and finished gamely. ANNA BEAL showed early speed, but began tiring in the stretch. BONI FERN had no mishaps. SUPER ROCK began slowly and made up some ground, then tired. LITTLE COLONEL began more slowly than usual, but gradually worked his way up and was forced wide around the stretch turn, then came 011 the inside and outfinished KENTUCKY ACE. The latter moved up fast on the last turn, where he came wide, but finished gamely in the deepest going. WHISK ARROW showed the most early speed and. after racing MISS LEE into defeat, raced well to the last eighth. SESQUI ran fairly well. MARIH and MISS LEE were done early.
