PURCHASES DIXIANA FARM Henry Oliver of Pittsburgh Reported to Have Bought Noted Nursery for 00,000. LEXINGTON, Ky., June 19.— The purchaser of Dixiana Farm, near here, the property of the estate of the late Jame3 Cox Brady, who died last November, is Henry Oliver, of Pittsburgh. It is understood that the purchase price was 00,000. Several offers had been made for the famous nursery. The Pittsburgh sportsman had been negotiating for it for several days. The new owner of Dixiana was associated with Edward F. Simms several years ago in the ownership of the Lexington Stable. But his interest in the running horse was eclipsed by his fancy for the trotter, which he bred. He *vill continue to breed light harness horses, but will use Dixiana Farm for breeding thoroughbreds also. Dixiana is one of the most famous of Kentucky studs. It is situated on the Russel Cave Pike, and embraces about 400 acres. The late Maj. B. G. Thomas owned it originally. He was the owner of Himyar. He bred many great thoroughbreds at the place, including Domino. The farm was named by Major Thomas after his famous racer and brood mare Dixie. After Major Thomas death, Dixiana was purchased by T. J. Carson, and afterwards the late James B. Haggin became the master of it. John and Madden bought it from the Haggin estate and sold it to the late James Cox Brady.
