ARLINGTON STAKES CLOSING The American National Jockey Club is call ¬ ing the attention of horsemen to the closing of Arlington Park stakes next Saturday May 11 These stakes are eleven in number and will feature the midsummer meeting of twentynine days which will begin July 1 and terminate August 2 Above a quarter of a million dollars will be the portion of horsemen of all parts of the country who will support this meeting The stakes will aggre ¬ gate 147000 in added money and gross about 200000 The minimum purse will be 1200 Handicaps and allowance races will run from 1500 to 2500
