"WENT TO POST— 2:36. AT PCST— 4 minutes. Start good and slow for all but Hie. Won easily; second and third driving. MABLA displayed good speed from the start, was aroused with a whip a sixteenth from the finish and, drawing away, had speed in reserve at the end. FORGER responded gamely to urging and finished well. ANDRA finished with good courage under pressure and outlasted LAMP BLACK. The latter raced well all the way. ISLAND CREEK showed a good performance. LIVE OAK raced well in the early stages, but bore out badly and impeded SUNNY SAINT, for which he was disqualified. LE BEY saved ground on the turns and held on well, Imt was in close quarters at the finish. SUNNY SAINT showed a good effort throughout and finished well after overcoming interference.
