FLAMINGO saved ground at the first turn, but swung wide and, under hard urging, responded to punishment and, closing stoutly after made a wide turn into the home stretch, wore UUI POLLOI down to get up in the concluding strides. HOI POLLOI bore out at the first turn, but raced close to the leader, gained the lead when approaching the home stretch, but McGinnis outrode Harper when it cam» to a drive. BANTON moxed up fast on the outside, lost ground entering the home streteh and held on gamely. HARVARD tired after a bold challenge leaving the back stretch.
