GOLDEN RACKET began quickly, but was slightly outrun to the turn, where he disposed of CASH PLAY and. continuing fast under severe pressure, held RETORT safe. The latter, always close up, swerved badly after reaching the stretch, where his rider could not bring him to the outside of the leader and, racing more kindly, might have been best. SUPERLOVE, well ridden, forced the early pace under restraint, easily withstood a challenge from liONUWOOD after reaching the stretch and won easily. LONGWOOD raced prominently from the •tart, moTed up menacingly on the stretch turn, but tired in the final drive. FLORHI gained much round In the final quarter and was going well at the end. BLIND HILLS dropped far out of it in the first quarter and could not gain a contending position. MARY McCLAIN had brief early speed. PEPFECT ALIBI saved much ground and. finishing resolutely, was rapidly wearing the winner down. MABEL BASIL was going fast in the final stages after overcoming interference from I.ULLIE BELLE. The latter showed the most speed from the start, swerved out entering the stretch, but held on stubbornly and just failed to last. THE CHOCTAW raced prominently to the stretch, where he began tiring. REIGII OLGA, taken back repeated under a poor ride, failed at several attempts to find racing room on the inside and, jimitr a better ride, would have been a much stronger factor. JEM was outrun. DOLLY SETH, taken back repeatedly onder a poor ride, was tiring badly at the end. RESPOND was done after reaching the stretch. POST HORN, under a poor ride, was ontrun.
