Won driving; second and third the same, ABDUCTION, beginning in good fashion and moving to the rail at once, withstood early contention: from SHIELD, responded to pressure in the final drive and was slowly drawing away. AOLTABUSH,-prominent and racing gamely, outfinished SHIELD. The latter offered good contention, but tired in tho final drive. IMAGINARY, poorly ridden, was messed around and was in behind horses in the final stages, only for which she would have been closer up. MISS DINAVIDDIE had no mishaps. BABBIEt raced well. NICIAS, reserved for two turns of the field, responded with a bnrst of speed at the eighteenth" jump, wore down GRAEME on the fiat after reaching the final jump and came away without nrging at the end. The latter lost much ground while enjoying a long early lead and tired after next to tho last jump. SAN ROMOLO was prominent from the start and held on gamely. MARKHAM could not make up any ground when put to a drive. DRAGON DE AERTU, allowed to drop far out of contention,-appeared to sulk and was never a factor. SARATOF showed poor speed. TAIL SPIN, slow to begin, mndc up ground. PRINCESS HENRY was held safe. BROKER had no mishaps. HE-HAVE CASH quit badly, as did HONESTY. The latter, in close attendance of the winner, made an effort approaching the stretch and continued gamely. ROUNDING DEEP began slowly, was forced to race on the outside, but finished fast. SANFORD was unable to get to the leaders. JUDGE BARTLETT was held safe. GOLD MINT was in trouble most of the race and was eased up in the stretch. Overweight Gold Mint, 1 pound. ARMAGEDDON tired slightly when straightened out in the stretch and was not persevered with when he could not get to the first two. BLACK ABBOTT held on well. KUBAN ROUGE, racing in greatly improved form, was far back for the first three-quarters, reached Ids rivals rapidly when put to a drive, disposed of IMBROS at the final eighth post and drew out at will thereafter. IMBROS moved into the lead when reaching .the far turn, but was unable to cope with the winner. MAINSHEET, well placed, finished gamely. BOYISH BOB was unable to hold command when put to punishment. FOREST LORD made up some grounds COTTAGE BOY was outrun. CAPE ;FEAR and IMMORTAL quit badly. . . Scratched 46952 Fire Opal, 105. Overweight Mainsheet, 4i pounds.
