WINS FIRST BEULAH START Miss Diebolds Photograph Leads Field in Feature Race at Columbus Track. COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 1. Running her first race since coming to Beulah Park from Lexington and, carrying top weight. Photograph won for Mrs. J. Diebold this afternoon, her victory taking place in the Pleasant and Galbreath purse. Second to her was Unlucky, a recent winner at this track, and C. E. Davisons Follow Me was third. Ima Hat had little difficulty winning the first race for P. M. Sturm. She was away in the the lead and, after saving ground, drew away in the run down the stretch, but Miss Peggy also proved a fast finisher and got by Hildurs Charm, to get the place with an advantage of two lengths. Helen Flint reached the lead in the early part, then went wide. Lady Le Comte was another choice to score in the second. She was always in front and had a safe margin at the end over Illumine, which just did outstay Betty Browning. The latter finished-courageously. Not Guilty went to the post for the third race one of the warmest favorites of the meeting and she showed that the confidence was not misplaced by winning all the way. W. H. Carriers Jof, which also came in for good support, ran a splendid race and was always in close pursuit of Not Guilty. Deviner had little opposition for third. Galiano was going well when he stumbled and fell. Billy Welch, though much the best in the fourth race, had a somewhat close call when Bill Hare sneaked up on him when Billy Welchs rider ceased to urge his mount near the end. Bill Hare ran a good race and closed full of run. My Daddy tired some after displaying early speed. S. Borbet claimed Oblique for 00 from the fourth race, Thursday, while J. Bronnen-berg claimed Unlucky for 00 from the fifth race.
