I PIMLICO TURF NOTES j Cj BALTIMORE, Md., May 1. F. H. Baker got in from New York and joined up with the Brookmeade Stable. Nursery Play and Prairie Girl have been added to the schooling list. A number of owners and trainers of steeplechase horses attended a conference with the directors of the Maryland Jockey Club in an effort to have the association put on more junjping races. There are 150 steeplechasers on the grounds. Tom Campbell, brother of J. B. Campbell, was a Pimlico visitor. He came down from Hartford, Conn., to attend the National Convention of the Chamber of Commerce. Frank J. Bryan and J. B. Campbell will leave for Toronto at the conclusion of tho Pimlico meeting to be on hand for the opening of the Woodbine meeting. .Campbell has signed up to act as racing secretary at Agua Caliente. Joseph A. Murphy wired that he would be on hand to witness the running of tho Preakness Stakes. James N. Crofton, who was at Pimlico for several days, returned to New York yesterday, but plans to return for Preakness Day. The Maryland Jockey Club gave a -luncheon for Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bruce of Baltimore, owners of Billy Barton, the famous gelding. .., . - w : . . ,.
