BAINBRIDGE PARK OPENING Malolo Triumphs Over Click in Inaugural Handicap — Cloido Takes Measure of Fred Almy. CLEVELAND, Ohio, May 16. Malolo, five-year-old unsexed son of Dis Dono, showed fine speed and rare grit to take the Bainbridge Inaugural Handicap from the Carlton Stables Click following a rousing drive from the head of the stretch up to the" finish. It was a fitting climax to the feature race of a card of good contests and the winner was applauded by the 10,000 patrons who turned out to witness the opening of the major season of racing in Ohio. Malolo took the lead at the start and shook off Clicks challenge and outstayed him in the final eighth. Click held on gamely, but could not get to Malolo as the pair were put to a hard drive in the final sixteenth. Sunny Morn was third. The splendid condition of the track was evidenced by the time of Cloido. which equalled the four and a half furlongs record in the fourth, and Malolo, which completed the six furlongs in 1:12%. The attendance was pleasing to general manager Tommy McGinty. "Although we have not checked the crowd as yet. I would say that 10,000 would be a conservative estimate, he remarked.
