WOLFY was going well at the end. CHUB tired. THISTLE DUKE was cut off when racing well on the far turn. WANDER LOU showed early speed. MINTCEL, under incompetent handling, was off slowly and permitted to race wide most of the wav, swinging to the middle of the track on the stretch turn. Scratched— 58053 Paige. MARSHALL was close up and saved ground throughout. COY was going well at the end. SORRENTO never threatened seriously. ZINN began slowlv. PLUMBAGO, badly outrun to the stretch, came with a rush on the outside and got up in the last ttride. THUNDER CALL was close up from the start and, after shutting off FAVORIT II. and MISS PERFECTION in the last eighth, took a handy lead and barely missed. DANDY DAN was blocked at mid-stretch, but came again and showed a good performance. KING AT ARMS finished gamely on the outside. FAVORIT II. set the pace and was racing gamely when interfered with by the winner. MISS PERFECTION Was also eoing gamely on the inside when blocked. ISKUM, easily best, bore out on the stretch turn and went very wide on the turn, but continued gamely and was wearing down the winner. ADSUM saved ground on the stretch turn and nosed out ABSTAIN. ENGLEWOOD went outside on the stretch turn and, moving up with a rush, took a short lead twenty yards out, but could not last. LAURIE tired after heading the others an eighth out.
