DESERVE forced the pace to the head of the stretch, where she shook off ANNIE A. and drew away under pressure at the end. CARUS CLARUS, slow to get going, was outrun early, but closed gamely and saved ground on the stretch turn and outgamed FAST STORM in the final drive. The latter, a contender throughout, tired. DARK MIST began slowly and was in behind the leaders all the way. ANNIE A. began fast, showed speed to the stretch turn, then quit. HAYTIME dropped back in the first eighth and saved ground, came through next to the rail entering the stretch and, finishing gamely under punishment, outlasted ANCHOR LIGHT. The lattor began slowly and, shuffled back, worked her way up on the outside and tired in the stretch after closing a big gap. FAIR SPEED outlasted SNOOTY under the whip. TABLE TALK was on the inside and saved ground on the turns and hung on gamely in the final drive to outlast FRENCH LASS. The latter began fast and had a slight advantage in the early stages, but tired in the stretch. OMAREEN wore down FEDERAL RESERVE and outgamed him at the end. NOAJOYCE could not get up. EAGER PLAY dropped out of it early then moved up on the far turn, but tired after getting up. BAD NEWS BOB used up racing CHATTY into defeat, tired badly in the last quarter.
