THE PADRE sprinted into command in the first eighth and easily held sway thereafter. ROYAL ROCK, always close up, shook off BRIGHT FLASH in the final stages. BRIGHT FLASH showed good early speed and held on well under punishment. LASSA, shuffled back at the start, came through on the inside and made up much ground. OMARDALE closed with a belated rush.
