HIALEAH PARK TURF NOTES t Tommy Daly, who is the ampliphier announcer at Jefferson Park, New Orleans, motored from the Crescent City and will remain in Miami until the end of the racing season. Final revision of the rules and regulations of the Florida State Racing Commission were made at a meeting of that body. The complete code will be turned over to the printers immediately and the rule books should be ready for distribution within a few days. Racing secretary H. D. Munro is at Hialeah Park each morning accepting stall reservations for the second meeting of the Gables Racing Association at Tropical Park. Munro reports that he already has received almost enough applications to fill the accommodations available. W. Pierce, chief inspector for the Florida Sfate Racing Commission, requests that trainers Frank Clear and Lou Clark, and jockey R. Albiker call to see him at the general offices at Hialeah Park, to clear up irregularities in the making out of their occupational tax applications. Starter George Cassidy has added Knowl-ton, winner of the fourth race Wednesday, and Montanaro, to the schooling list. Apprentice Willie Prior, under contract to Frank Kearns, will ride under the "bug1 for the last time Friday. Prior rode his first winner, Foundation Stone, at Oriental " Park January 30, 1931. Mayor Frank Doyle, of East St. Louis, an enthusiastic turf fan, was a visitor at Hialeah Park. He was accompanied by his wife and two neices, Miss Margaret Burke of East St. Louis and Miss Betty Burmaster of Knoxville, Tenn. Hugh Miller, staff photographer for the New York Morning Telegraph, returned to his home in Washington, D. C, to attend the funeral of his mother-in-law, who died Tuesday. Yonkers Flash, the two-year-old in the J. Wessler stable, grabbed his quarter in his last race and will be on the shelf for a time. This youngster has never run to the brilliant trials he showed. Denny Higgins, who in the old days was one of the biggest operators on the turf, is here on his annual visit. Higgins came from Prescott, Ontario. He looks fit and good after a protracted illness last winter. Frank Taylor, former trainer of the Ran-cocas Stable, was an arrival. He reports that his sister-in-law, Mrs. Samuel Hildreth, will be here in a few days. The colors of Mrs. Hildreth have been seen in action a couple of times at Hialeah on Merriman C. The latter is trained by J. Simon Healy.
