FAVORS JUVENILES BY MARS First of Get of Young Stallion to Be Seen Under Colors During Coming Season. BERLIN, Md., Jan. 28. Walter M. Jeffords Mars, the eight-year-old stallion, has six two-year-olds here, of which much is expected by trainer Preston M. Burch. Two are colts, two are geldings and two are fillies. They are striking in appearance, and it is known that trainer Burch likes the get of Mars a mite better than he does the youngsters by Galetian, Golden Broom and Foxlaw in his care. Trainer Burch also has twenty-one horses in training at historic Benning, near Washington. Among the best known of this string are Admiral Cary T. Graysons Happy, Scot, Foxcatcher Farms White Clover It. and Frigate Bird, Kilrane Stables Diane de Poitiers, three parts sister to Sir Gallahad HI., and his own Tambour and General Lejeune. Burch has several two-year-olds at Benning by The Porter, The Satrap, Dunlin and Wilderness.
