HAROLD JR. met early interference when the winner; crossed over to the inside and, holding on well, outlasted the others. CAPT. JERRY began fast, raced wide on the turn and outlasted GLORITONE. ANDORA, close up from the start, saved ground, particularly in the stretch, and withstood pressure gamely. MISS N. CONLAN, away slowly, moved up with a rush after five-sixteenths, lost ground on the second turn, and held on well. TRANSFORMATION showed speed, saved ground and tired in the stretch. TRAUMEL jelosed resolutely. STUPENDOUS quit. LENA M. showed early speed. ANNE ARUNDEL failed to respond. SKIDMORE, away poorly, stcadly improved his position in an excellent effort. LOUIS MERRYMAN, badly outrun early, held on gamely in the drive. MASTER OGDEN, taken to the lead, was under steadying restraint for seven-eighths, bore out at the stretch turn and held on resolutely after being headed. SUN FRIAR, under strong restraint for three-quarters, moved up mildly at the stretch turn, tired in the drive, but outstayed the others. DIM RAY had no mishaps. The latter close to the pace from the start and kept under reserve as VANQUISH went to the front at the stretch turn, closed resolutely and while wearing down the winner, could not get up. MAKE BELIEVE saved much ground and weakened slightly in the final drive, but outstayed SISTONY. The latter closed strong. OTILLA, on the outside much of the distance, held on well. RUBBERNECK quit. CONSTANCE ANN lacked her usual late speed and was always far back.
