LOVE OFFERING began slowly, gradually improved her position on the outside in the final half mile and closed gamely. SUN TEATIME raced SUNNY SUSAN into defeat, then tired. FLASH O WHITE, far back until straightened out in the stretch, closed with a rush in the stretch. ZEGORA, close up in the strecth. tired under pressure. SUNNY SUSAN quit. MAEANTIC, away forvvardly, swerved across the track sharply going out of the chute and had to be pulled .up sharply, but finished gamely. PANCOAST, on the outside and clear of interference, was prominent through, out. JOHN DAVENPORT, fractious at the post, began from outside the machine, but did not threaten the leaders. KNOWLTON began fast from outside the machine, lost ground on the turn and closed gamely in the last eighth. CLEAN PLAY continued resolutely in the stretch. SALISBURY, shuffled back on the turn, came through on the inside entering the stretch. PARNELL BOUND moved up fast on the stretch turn, then tired. WHILEAWAY closed a big gap. The latter, crowded back in the first sixteenth, improved his position on the outside and closed fast. TIGER PRINCE tired in the stretch. He steadily improved his position when"1 in hissfride and, closing gamely on the outside, was going fastest of all at the finish. TARNISH, permitted to trail in the early stages, stole through on the inside entering the stretch, and saved much ground, wearing- down TOMBER-EAU in the last stride. TOMBEREAU and BACCIOCCO raced each other into submission the first five V furlongs and stopped badly. FERVID had no mishaps. INFERNO LAD was pulled up through the stretch. The latter, hustled to the front in the opening sixteenth, displayed the most speed, but tired badly .in the stretch run. OATEN closed a big gap. BLUE CLOUD quit after going about seven-eighths.
