FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES e Eugene Lutz, veteran turfman, underwent an operation for the removal of the appendix at the Touro Infirmary here today. Several hours after the operation his condition was reported as satisfactory by Dr. Russell Stone, the attending surgeon. Under revised regulations for races for two-year-olds under the jurisdiction of the Louisiana Jockey Club, whips and blinkers will be permitted by permission of the stewards. A. G. Woodman, who plans to "purchase a few horses, to race under his colors, acquired Prince Reno from Dr. Oster.
